Hey, Friends and Families
My school is having its first spring fair and fundraiser on June 15, 2024. I am looking for volunteers to help out that day. If you are interested or have Young people willing to help and support us, please call me at 212-234-8209 Monday through Friday. We are there from 8:00 to 5:30 p.m.

The event is open to the community, so please come out and celebrate with us as we complete our first school year. We have a free giveaway of information on Education and mental health.

I am so excited for my students; as many of you know, the progressive Reggio-Emilia-inspired preschool I started this past year will have its first child-centered and child-directed performance.

After learning about Black history all month, my bridge 3s & 4s class asked if they could create a show for their parents about Rosa Parks; with the assistance of teachers and parents this Thursday, they will perform for our school community.

Watching them work today on their Art Collages and practicing their lines for the play gave me such joy. It made all my challenges to open this school worth it, while the road has been long and hard. I felt like giving up many days, but seeing the work come alive through them and their beautiful little faces has made it all worth it. Big shout out to my teachers, Ms. Jones, Ms. Amada, and Ms. Inez, for all your hard work!

As many of you know, I host a monthly grief support group with Founder Kisha of MIMY (mommy, I miss you). During the month of May, we will have a Mother's Day Bunch & Paint Party. Holidays after the loss of a loved one are especially hard, but when your mother has transitioned, Mother’s Day can be even more challenging for many.
