Note to self: Your body will signal you before your mind catches up. Sometimes the signals are based in the past, but they’re being activated by something in the present. Slow down. Pay attention. Listening creates more change than force ever could.

Band-aids have their place...

We’re often told that difficult seasons are “opportunities for growth,” but what gets left out is this part:

👉 growth can feel like a nightmare while you’re inside of it.

So if you’re in a season that feels heavy, confusing, or overwhelming, you’re not failing.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re in something real.

And you don’t have to romanticize it to get through it.

One hour a week that’s just for you isn’t indulgent. It’s not a sign that something is wrong. It’s a decision to make space for yourself without needing to justify it.

RESST offers a time-out from the ordinary - a sense of kairos, or timelessness.

It is an opportunity to be still, to turn inward and be with our emotions rather than led by them; to be with our bodily sensations, rather than override them.

To arrive at our deepest internal wisdom and knowing.

And to emerge - and re-emerge - in deep connection with ourselves and others, aligned with our highest individual and collective meaning and purpose.

Learning to dismiss ourselves can become a survival strategy.

Pushing past emotions.
Ignoring the body’s cues.

Healing begins when we slow down and listen again.

This isn’t about fixing. It’s about remembering.

How we start our day matters more than we realize.

Behavioral science shows that the first moments of the morning create a blueprint for how our nervous system moves through the rest of the day.

So it’s worth asking:
Do you want your day to begin with urgency?
Or with ease?

This isn’t about rigid routines or doing it “right.”
It’s about remembering that you have agency.

Even small, intentional choices can help your system feel more grounded, steady, and at peace.

What would bring a little more ease into your system today?

“Clearing,” by Martha Postlethwaite:

“Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
how to give yourself to this world
so worthy of rescue.”

If you haven’t found the way healing works for you yet, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

It means it hasn’t shown up yet.

Healing IS possible.

Healing isn’t something you arrive at.
It’s something you practice.

It shows up in how you relate to yourself and others.
In the experiences you allow yourself to have.
In how your body learns safety again.
In what gives your life meaning.
And in the way change slowly becomes embodied.

This is what lasting healing actually looks like.
Not a finish line. A different way of living.

Safety in relationship is what allows the body to soften, settle, and heal.
