Join us April 23rd for Little Linguists Storytime!

Our language-enriched storytime offers an opportunity for children and caregivers to engage with stories in a creative and meaningful way. With a focus on language development, preliteracy and early speech sounds, children are immersed in the story, learning through evidence-based practices. Speech tips are provided each week, along with hands-on application and instruction. Emily and Lily combine their backgrounds in speech and language pathology as well as early education, to create an engaging and interactive shared reading experience!

Hello! Time for a reintroduction :)

My name is Emily and I have been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for over thirteen years. I began my career in New York City after graduating with my Masters from Emerson College in Boston, where I gained unique clinical skills in the areas of feeding and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I have worked with a variety of clients, from toddlers to adults, including eight years working at two Manhattan private schools for students with autism. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills for supporting clients with speech and language delays and impaired social skills. My primary goal is to increase my client’s abilities to communicate and interact with the world around them. In 2019, I founded Communicating Together Speech Pathology, LLC. I believe that the responsibility of communication not only depends on the student, but also on their communication partner; therefore, collaboration with a child’s family is the key to success.

Learning to communicate effectively is hard work, but when we are Communicating Together, the work becomes fun!
