SPOP works with agencies throughout NYC to address hunger and homelessness among older adults.
SPOP is hiring LMSW and LCSW social workers to provide individual and group therapy for adults age 55 and older. Position requires on-site sessions at offices in Manhattan and telehealth sessions. SPOP is excited about working with NYC Department for the Aging to expand access to behavioral healthcare for older New Yorkers
Going through the COVID-19 pandemic caused many older adults to feel stress and anxiety. That is why we partnered with older adult centers in to provide mental health counseling to support their emotional and social wellbeing.
We are proud that through funding by the Mayor's Office of Community Mental Health, the number of older adult centers that will have this program has grown in communities that were hardest hit by the pandemic.
