update! Yearly influenza vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months and up to protect them from getting sick. This past influenza season was one of our most severe in recent years for children. We know from many studies that children and adults who get the flu vaccine receive safe protection to prevent severe illness. Keep your children and your family well this coming fall and winter!

Questions about the flu or other vaccines? Talk to your Montefiore Einstein provider! See our link in bio for more information on the flu from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

After almost 4 months at Montefiore Einstein’s Weiler Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Leah Fernandez Reyes is finally home!

Little Leah was born at just 25 weeks gestation, weighing only 1 pound 4 ounces. Her parents are so relieved she made it through many health scares and challenges, and can finally be home with her family. Her team was on hand to send them off and wish them all continued health and joy together at home!

Thank you to Leah’s parents for sharing their incredible child and their healthcare journey with us. We also thank the NICU team for their continued outstanding care for families like Leah’s!
