❤️ All About Love is one of the books that people in this generation seem to refer to repeatedly. I think that makes it even more important to read in community as we can’t love in isolation and we can’t love without learning how to love ourselves.
In the book, hooks describes “Love as 'the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth. ' Love is as love does. Love is an act of will–namely, both an intention and an action.” 🌿
When you love someone you mediate GOD to them 🙏🏾
🧘🏾♀️ We will be exploring this in the Divinely Inspired Readers Book Club. Each meeting will start with a short yoga class, & then a discussion about the book shared over tea 🍵 and light refreshments. DIR meets every 3rd Saturday of the month from 1:30-3:30 pm starting October 21st!
We recommend a one-time fee of $25 (or whatever you can), which can help cover the expenses for the book and refreshments at our Divinely Inspired Book Club meetings. It's important to emphasize that this contribution is entirely voluntary. If you prefer, you have the option to purchase or borrow your own copy of the book. Additionally, please note that tea, refreshments, and the yoga session are provided free of charge as integral parts of our Divinely Inspired Readers sessions. Any contribution will also help to possibly assist someone who may face challenges getting a book.
