Exercise is a standard treatment used by many physios for many things

Often it is said to help people in pain by getting them stronger, fitter, or more powerful

However exercise is a simple intervention with many many complex interactions

Exercise may help people in pain feel better not because of any changes in their strength, endurance or power but rather exercise can and does change a persons beliefs, expectations, and confidence

Continuing to only see exercise as a physiological intervention is incorrect and inaccurate and needs to be changed and challenged more

Exercise may help more, if more recognise its multifactorial benefits and effects!
