So today I made mineral capsules for myself. They contain dandelion leaf, nettle leaf, chickweed and burdock root. Each herb not only contain medicinal components, but trace mineral compounds that are essential to the body in terms of healing and support. Trace minerals work in the function and structure of the body in many ways vitamins cannot.

If you are considering herbal medicine as a health alternative, please ensure that your herbalist is knowledgeable in physiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, medical terms as well as plant families and the herbal actions of each plant. For instance, rue and licorice root are poisonous together and licorice root raises blood pressure. Also, be honest about medicines and vitamin supplements you take daily as there may be potential interactions.

If you’re interested in extracts - I currently have olive leaf, garlic, nettle leaf, and horehound. All good for cold and flu season.
