It is International Snakebite Awareness Day!
Did you know that snakebites affect more than 5 million people each year, leading to over 250,000 deaths and leaving countless others disabled? Snakebite envenomation is one of the most neglected tropical diseases, disproportionately impacting rural and impoverished communities across the world. Snakebite receives far less attention and funding despite its devastating effects than other global health issues.
At the Asclepius Snakebite Foundation, we are on a mission to change that. Every day, we work alongside communities and medical professionals in some of the most snakebite-prone regions of the world to ensure that life-saving treatments and educational resources reach those who need them most. Our ongoing projects in countries like Guinea, Sierra Leone, and the Republic of the Congo have already saved countless lives, but we need your help to do even more. By donating to ASF, you will be helping to improve access to care, improve community education, and advance research and treatments.
Will you join us in the fight to combat the global snakebite crisis?
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a world where no one suffers needlessly from snakebite envenomation. Your support today can save a life tomorrow.
Thank you for standing with us in this crucial effort.
