Each year, plastic surgeons perform breast reduction more than 76,000 times to help patients enhance the appearance of their breasts.

Large breasts can cause excessive strain, resulting in back, neck, and shoulder pain. Reducing breast size helps patients find relief from chronic pain, improve mobility, expand clothing options, treat rashes and moisture issues under the breasts, lessen migraine headaches, and so much more.

At ME Plastic Surgery, we take care of a number of patients coming to the office with a wide range of complaints from the teenage years through the retirement years of life.

Candidates for breast reduction insurance coverage are those who need to undergo the procedure to improve their quality of life. If you suffer from back and neck pain because of overly large breasts, your breast reduction will likely be covered by insurance.

There’s a lot of misinformation out there, especially when it comes to breast reduction.

While healing is an important process, today’s techniques are designed with comfort and efficiency in mind. Most patients rest for about 24 hours before easing back into light daily activities, with full recovery happening gradually over the following weeks.

At ME Plastic Surgery, we also offer a Rapid Recovery Breast Reduction approach, using advanced local anesthesia and nerve-blocking techniques to significantly reduce discomfort. Many patients don’t require narcotic pain medication and can return to normal routines within just a few days (depending on their job).

Above or below the muscle? Here’s what that actually means.

When choosing breast implant placement, the right option depends on your anatomy, goals, lifestyle, and the look you want to achieve.

Above the muscle means the implant sits behind the breast tissue but in front of the pectoralis major muscle. Below the muscle means the implant sits partially or mostly beneath the muscle, often using a modern dual-plane technique for a more natural shape.

Both options can create beautiful results, but each has its own benefits and considerations. During your consultation, Dr. Everett will evaluate your body type and goals to recommend the placement that’s best for you.

We’ll be breaking down Dr. Everett’s answers in this series, so you can feel informed and confident every step of the way.

Do you have any questions about getting a blepharoplasty? Here’s exactly how the procedure is planned out with Dr. Ruya Zhao.

As we age, excess or drooping upper eyelid skin can create a heavy, hooded appearance and, in some cases, even affect vision. Many patients don’t realize they’re constantly lifting their brows to compensate, which can contribute to forehead lines and a tired look.

Dr. Zhao takes a highly tailored approach to upper eyelid surgery, carefully evaluating how much skin, and in some cases muscle or fat, should be addressed. The goal is never to remove too much, but to restore a more open, refreshed appearance while preserving natural volume.

It’s this level of precision that helps avoid an overdone or hollow look, resulting in eyes that simply look more rested, not “operated on.”

Thinking about breast augmentation? Start here.

A great result doesn’t start in the operating room; it starts with asking the right questions. With today’s advanced techniques, breast augmentation can be fully tailored to your body, proportions, and goals for a result that feels natural, balanced, and uniquely yours.

Here are five questions to ask your surgeon:
• Should my implant be placed above or below the muscle?
• What type of implant is best for me?
• What implant profile (projection) fits my goals?
• Where will my incision be placed?
• What can I expect during recovery?

Dr. Everett will be sharing his personal answers in this series, so you can feel informed and confident every step of the way.

If you’ve ever avoided certain shirts or felt self-conscious at the gym, this might be why.

Gynecomastia is a common condition characterized by enlarged male breast tissue due to excess fat and glandular tissue. It can affect men at any age and often has a significant impact on confidence and body image.

At ME Plastic Surgery, Dr. Marc Everett offers gynecomastia surgery to help restore a flatter, more masculine chest and help patients feel more comfortable in their bodies again.

Thinking about a Brazilian Butt Lift but worried about scarring? Here’s what to know.

A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) enhances the shape and volume of the buttocks using your own fat, carefully transferred from areas like the abdomen or flanks through liposuction.

Because liposuction is used, the procedure involves very small, strategically placed incisions, typically less than a quarter inch in length. These are designed to be as discreet as possible and are often barely noticeable once healed.

Like all scars, they continue to mature over time, gradually fading and softening over 12–18 months.

What other questions do you have about BBL procedure? Feel free to DM us or comment down below.
