Nonprofits unite!

Recently we were approached by the wonderful people at to see if we had any volunteer opportunities available at our studios - it turned out to be a perfect fit for both organizations and we are soooo grateful that they chose us.

These amazing young adults come in each week to clean and care for our Lakewood hOMe - while learning skills and assuming responsibilities that help them find deeper connection to themselves, one another and community.

Thank you for all the time, energy and love you’ve been sharing with our space! Your big kind hearts reverberate throughout Cultivate now 💗

A bit more about this special organization:

Do Good Day Hub is a nonprofit day program for adults with developmental disabilities in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. “The Hub” provides purposeful, community-focused programming by partnering with other local nonprofits doing impactful work. These partnerships help the Hub “do good” while offering Hub members valuable vocational skills and opportunities for meaningful social interactions and relationships.

To our AVON community….

Major roadwork begins today near the studio (Route 83 & Detroit) and will continue for the next year or so. All roads to Cultivate will remain open throughout but will certainly be more congested.

Please plan some extra time to arrive to class - hopefully reducing stress on your journey.

Apologies for an inconvenience but, when completed this will create a better flow for all of us.

If 3 new people decide to join the Warrior ranks by the end of day on Sunday 7/27, every single active Warrior will be entered into a drawing to receive a brand new Manduka PRO mat - we have 3 to give away :)

This Friday 7/18 7p we celebrate the Grand (re)Opening of our beautifully reimagined & renovated AVON hOMe by joining together in circle to share our voices in song and to open our hearts to one another.

We honor the community that volunteered their energy to create this sacred space - by coming together as a community, supported by this intentional space, in the full spirit of yoga.

Join us - to sing, to dance, to connect to yourself, others and Spirit.

ABSOLUTELY no experience is needed and you do not need to sing - although we certainly encourage participation in any way that is comfortable to you; voices, rattles, drums, etc.

This event will also serve as a potluck style gathering for the community to celebrate our accomplishments with nourishing food & drink. Please feel free to bring a tasty treat to share 🙂

This month we celebrate our community and our brand NEW Cultivate Avon! We are humbled by all of the support we received to help make our reimagined space a reality.

This was truly a labor of love and quite literally would not have been possible without so many amazing people from within our Cultivate family choosing to volunteer their time and energy to the project.

The End?

Nope! Just the beginning!!!

Cultivate Avon remodel - Day 9 & COMPLETE!!!!!!

Our new hOMe is infused with a love that can only be expressed through countless acts of service. An array of beautiful, talented and passionate people from within our community showed up every single day of this project to share whatever time, energy, tools, food and skills they could offer.

Each detail is immaculate… because each person who was assigned a specific job was focused on perfection. Each of us put our entire heart into the task-at-hand because we all wanted to create a reimagined sacred space where anyone can come to feel loved and at home.

To put it simply… this would not have happened without the volunteers from within the Cultivate community. The cost to do this project would’ve far exceeded our available funds had we hired out the work and because it was all done by our community, for our community… it is absolutely STUNNING!

Our community is the GIFT and we will continue to steward a space where everyone feels welcome, ALWAYS.

Metamorphosis!

Cultivate AVON remodel - Day 8

A caterpillar spends anywhere from 10-21 days inside its chrysalis before emerging as a butterfly.

With the help of our community - we have completely transformed our hOMe in 8 days!

Tomorrow is the last day of our remodel project and it’s bittersweet. Everything is right on time to reopen but we’ll miss the opportunity to collaborate in this unique way with so many amazing people from our community.

THANK YOU to everyone who showed up today to put on some finishing touches before we share the space with the world.

Cultivate AVON remodel - Day 7

There’s a reason Andy is popping up in so many of the pictures each day of this project - he has volunteered an immense amount of time and has been there to share his skills in any capacity needed throughout.

We are soooooo GRATEFUL to Andy and each of the volunteers from our community who continue to show up every single day to make our dream a reality.

Butts, butts and more butts!

Cultivate Avon remodel - Day 6

It took a lot of volunteer asses in the air and crawling under benches to wrap up a major portion of our remodel project today… NEW cork flooring throughout!

Our space is feeling clean and warm and fresh and exciting and beautiful and novel and familiar. It’s more of a feeling than a description but it already feels like… Cultivate.
