We were thrilled to serve as a gifting sponsor for the joint course hosted by DMEI and Atlanta Dance Medicine: the Progressive Taping Techniques Workshop for Dance Injuries, led by Andrea Zujko, PT, and Emma Faulkner, PT.

During this workshop, Emma and Andrea presented their go-to strategies, highlighting the appropriate techniques that can be tailored as dancers advance in their recovery journey. The workshop proved to be incredibly insightful, providing physical therapists with the opportunity to enhance their skills. 🙏🏾

We’re half way through the first day of the DMEI/ADM Taping Workshop and the course is going great!

We started with the the foot, moved up to the ankle and will continue to travel up the lower leg to the knee. We’re super excited to welcome HUETAPE as our gift sponsor and can’t wait to film content this afternoon with them.

✨Wrapping up ✨

What an incredible few days in Vegas with the global dance medicine community! From inspiring lectures and poster sessions to hands-on demos (and even a few unexpected flamingo arabesques 🦩), this year’s conference was full of energy, collaboration, and learning.

On a personal level, it was so nourishing to reconnect with colleagues, to see so many familiar faces who have taken DMEI courses, and to build new connections with colleagues I didn’t know as well before. These conversations remind me why I do this work- advancing dancer health & wellness together.

Even though I wasn’t presenting this year, it was such a joy to be in the audience, cheering on friends and colleagues who shared their research and expertise. Watching their work shine was a true highlight of the week!

I was thrilled to be able to support my fellow colleagues and I am deeply grateful to long-time collaborators , and to new friends and partners across the field. I am proud that Dance Medicine Education Initiative could contribute as a sponsor this year and continue growing as an educational platform for practitioners who care for dancers.

Thrilled to have met co-founder, Maria Montanez, at the conference.

These shoes feel amazing!!! Lots of room for the toes, customized midfoot support, tactile stimulation at the heel and the option to insert a small ice pack inside the top of the shoe.

It was so lovely meeting you Maria! Looking forward to continuing our conversation once I’m back in NYC.
