Japanese breakfast — grilled fish, miso soup, pickled vegetables, rice. Protein, omega-3s, fermented probiotics, and minerals before 8am.

American breakfast — cereal engineered by a corporation, milk with growth hormones, and orange juice with more sugar than a can of Coke. Insulin spike by 8:15am. Starving again by 10.

Raise your hand if you have heard the word "peptides" about a dozen times this year and still are not totally sure what they are.
Same. Which is exactly why I wrote this.

Peptides are one of the fastest-growing topics in health and wellness right now, but most of what is out there is either too clinical to understand or too sales-y to trust. So I put together a plain-language introduction designed for people who are curious, a little skeptical, and want actual answers.

Here is a small taste of what is inside:
- Your body already makes thousands of peptides. They are like your cells' internal texting system. When that system gets disrupted by stress, inflammation, or age, your health starts breaking down in ways that are frustratingly hard to explain on a standard blood panel.

Also, and I want to say this clearly because it matters: if you ever see a product marketed as "natural peptides," be skeptical. Every therapeutic peptide is synthesized in a laboratory. That does not make them unsafe, but it does make that marketing language misleading at best.
