"This was easy to use for a 10-year old who is new to coding. Set up was quick and we were coding within 5 minutes.

The attractive hand shape is how you interface with the kit, is what plugs in via USB port, and this made the product fun to work with and helped us feel like our hands were actually doing the coding.

As we spent more time with it we found new ways to code. This is a very interactive device, which is great, since we're learning by doing. Each time we found a new command and saw it work quickly we were satisfied.

The hand can read message back to you via typed message or speaker. I imagine it will keep us active and learning new things each day, especially during this cabin fever winter.

Highly recommend for new coders and Dr. Who fans – we are now able to start watching the show! as an added bonus!"

Mandip Gill was born in Leeds to a Indian Sikh family who ran a newsagents shop. Gill performed from a young age for her family. She is the youngest of six sisters and has a younger brother too. She grew up surrounded by driven female role models and was given a strong work ethic. Her training was at Park Lane College, central Leeds where she studied Performing Arts. She then went on to graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston in 2009 with a BA (Hons) in Acting. By her own admission, she cannot sing.

Before appearing in the Doctor Who series, her most widely known role was as a series regular in the soap opera Hollyoaks, which coincidentally also featured Tosin Cole, her series 11 co-star.

Gill appeared in Doctors for a five episode arc as a pregnant homeless woman Shazia Amin in 2016 (18.25-29) before a recurring guest role in 2017 for the popular ITV series The Good Karma Hospital as young widow Padma Kholi (episodes 1.2 and 1.6). Also in 2017 came the supporting role of Talia for all six episodes of the miniseries Loves, Lies and Records for the BBC.

- "Have you or a child in your life been wanting to learn how to code?⁣

If so, I have the perfect little tool to show you!🤗 I get messages from parents asking for different tools or kits they can use with their kids so trying this out with that in mind has been so much fun!⁣

The Doctor Who HiFive Inventor coding kit is a mini computer designed to help anyone get started with coding!⁣"

You can follow along with their courses in Block coding, Micro-python, and Python and take the skills you learned into creating your own projects.⁣

As some of you guys may remember, I’ve been trying to get better at Python so I’ve spent the past couple weeks learning from the HiFive!⁣

As an Electrical Engineer though, my favorite part about it is how simply it presents the beautiful things that can happen when you miss coding and electronics.⁣

Head to my Reel to watch more☺️ and to the link in my bio to read more about this awesome tool!
