Come see Dr. Daneshmand and Dr. Park and many of our wonderful colleagues at the MHB - Men Having Babies conference in NYC in November!

Men Having Babies returns to New York this November to help gay men who are interested in becoming fathers through surrogacy. We turned to New York dads from our community and asked them to reflect on their surrogacy experience.

Brian is a widower, he and his partner went through surrogacy twice and had a kid (now 8) and then twins (now 3). "My biggest challenge was not being around every day and living in a different state - our first surrogate was in Georgia and the second in Florida," he tells us. "I wanted to be involved in everything to include doctors appointments etc."

"We went there quarterly and stay the weekend or week at a time to make sure they had everything they needed. We would text one another while on the office visits or even face time."

Articulating the type of relationship you'd like to have with your surrogate is a key point in a successful surrogate match. We will talk more about that at the Men Having Babies conference in New York on November 11-13.
