R' Hoffman is still in the hospital, and they have no immediate plans to discharge him.

His kidneys are failing, and they are trying to figure out if that is somehow a result of the heart attack last week and will resolve itself, or if it is a more serious issue.

Also, he had a blood transfusion today, which B"H seems to have gone ok.

In any case, his spirits were not great, so I'm sure he would appreciate visitors and phone calls. He is still in 7 Hudson South, Room 25 Bed 1, and his phone number is (212) 543 7366.

We are happy to report that Rabbi Hoffman's condition has stabilized, ב"ה, thank G-d, and he was able to dictate Netvort to a visitor earlier today, which enables us to send you a new, freshly baked edition. However, he still most definitely needs Divine mercy, prayers, blessings, and assistance for recovery, so please continue to keep him in mind in your prayers and so on, YEHOSHUA BEN YONINA, among the other ill of Israel, בתוך שאר חולי ישראל.
