Is Social Media Robbing Your Teen Of Sufficient Rest?

I found this wonderful online article that addresses the different ways our children/teens as well as we can be adversely affected by the time spent scrolling social media.This post addresses insufficient rest:

"Ask yourself: ‘How much sleep do I get each night?’ ‘Am I scrolling through social media when I should be winding down and getting ready for bed?’

"Insufficient rest can contribute to anxiety and depression. According to psychology professor Jean Twenge, a lack of sleep is the ultimate dampener to mood. She adds that “over time,” sleep deprivation can lead to “serious mental health issues.”

Suggestion: “Whenever possible, stop using screens two hours before bedtime.”
