Come join QUEER@NIP on 5/17 for a screening of Cured and a Q&A with the directors of the award-winning film!

Cured chronicles the battle waged by a group of activists who successfully led the American Psychiatric Association to remove homosexuality from its manual of mental illnesses in 1973. Next Thursday (3/30), join our Integrative Trauma Program for a virtual presentation that invites therapists to recognize the strengths, challenges, and opportunities of utilizing an intercultural approach to trauma therapy.

An intercultural approach is a journey that acknowledges and embraces culture and race as central aspects of clinical conceptualization, treatment planning, and treatment. The diversity in our population of therapists and clients calls for an approach that centers on adaptation and flexibility to embrace intersectionality in the therapeutic process.
