“This is the American dream for me. I’m as happy as I’ve ever been in my life. I’ve changed the whole narrative and am proud to say this is my home.”

After years in the shelter system and the heartbreak of losing a child, Patrice and her husband dreamed of a stable future for their young family. At our River Avenue residence in the Bronx, they finally found home.

Today, Patrice raises her daughters in a stable, supportive community, where she writes poetry, joins yoga classes, and cares for her friends and neighbors. “Whatever I do next, I know it will be in service to others,” she says. ✨
