Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a common bacterium that infects the stomach lining. It is recognized as a significant risk factor for developing stomach cancer, particularly gastric adenocarcinoma and MALT lymphoma according to the National Cancer Institute.

An H. pylori infection can lead to gastritis from chronic inflammation of the stomach lining. This can progress to atrophic gastritis and eventually to cancer.

Not all strains of H. pylori possess virulence factors, such as CagA, which can contribute to cancer development though 50% of the global population is infected with H. pylori — of this only 1-3% of those infected will develop stomach cancer but it is notable that H. pylori is responsible for 65-80% of gastric cancer cases.

Treating H. pylori infections with antibiotics and medicinal herbs can significantly reduce the risk of developing stomach cancer. Studies show a 63% lower risk in treated individuals compared to untreated ones.

Maintaining good hygiene, consuming well-cooked food, and drinking clean water can help prevent H. pylori infection. Raw foodies should consider
regular screening, especially those with a history of stomach issues.
Understanding the relationship between H. pylori and stomach cancer is crucial for prevention and treatment strategies.

Covid is still here and cases are on the rise. I say this because I’ve spoken with 2 people in the last day who are or were ill and now suffering with the after effects which I have repeatedly said can be worse than the illness itself.

This is a PowerPoint that I did back in 2021. There’s lots of good information here to gain an understanding, but it’s 2025 and I have updated my protocol.

If you are interested in finding out the best ways to prevent getting sick, give me a call.

If you are sick and have developed postcovid, give me a call. I can get you up and running quickly. And save you a lot of money. 212-213-2273

Do you live in any of these states? You may be infected with borrelia, the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. Many of the standardized tests for Lyme are not accurate -- up to 60% of the time! One of the best easy to do home tests that are now FDA approved and lowest priced is AcuDart.

Remember to use an excellent repellent. I use and recommend Tick Tock Naturals for myself and my patients. It is endorsed by Dr. Jeffrey Morrison who is the President of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine and himself a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor who treats chronic lyme.

From Project Lyme: 25 Worst States for Ticks

Ticks are becoming an even bigger problem across the U.S. These pests can spread serious infections, such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. “Tick survival increases significantly” as winters get milder and warm seasons last longer, said Terminix expert Tom Dobrinska. Big cities like New York and Los Angeles are also tick hotspots because of their green spaces. To stay safe, people should use insect repellent, wear protective clothing, and check for ticks after spending time outdoors. Do you live in a high-risk state for ticks? Find out by looking at this list compiled by Terminix using their proprietary pest management data.

This is the Provision I just wrote about. Please read about this and share widely. We must stop this from happening. Call your senators - especially the Republicans. Yes, that's right -- they do not have your best interests at heart.

Tell the White House & Congress: No Immunity For Pesticide Corporations! Sign the Petition: www.tinyurl.com/RemoveSection453

On July 15, the U.S. House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Interior and Environment voted along party lines to advance Appropriations Bill Fiscal Year 2026 that includes a dangerous provision—Section 453. This provision would strip away the rights of individuals harmed by pesticides by granting pesticide manufacturers broad legal immunity.

If passed, Section 453 would block lawsuits against companies whose products cause cancer, neurological damage, endocrine disruption, or other serious health harms. It would also prevent states from requiring pesticide labels with stronger safety warnings than the weak labels approved by the EPA—an agency that has repeatedly failed to protect the public from toxic chemicals.

On June 22, Appropriations Bill FY26 went to the full House Appropriations Committee for a vote. Again, the bill passed along party lines. Representative Chellie Pingree (ME-1) attempted to add an amendment striking Section 453 from the bill, but the amendment was voted down.

Appropriations Bill FY26 will likely be voted on by the full House of Representatives when the House returns from break.

The food we eat is essential to our good health, whether it is in a restaurant or our own kitchens. When I see articles like this, it sends up a red flag. Chefs, who are trained in nutrition, should not be recommending bio fortified aka bioengineered aka genetically modified foods to an unsuspecting public. Right now as I write this post, a provision to allow chemical presticide companies free reign to poison our foods, sabotage our health, and get away with it with no consequences is winding its way through Congress. It is called Section 453 and there are plenty of Americans who are against this, but the legislators don't care because these are the companies who are financing their campaigns. It sailed through the House and now it is in the Senate. The administration is looking the other way. Don't be fooled.

I will never eat in the restaurants owned by any of the chefs mentioned in this article and frankly we all should think twice about this too.

Eating clean takes time and thoughtful purpose but you will shed pounds or keep them off and your potential for cancer will decrease exponentially.
