It’s official. I’ve been asked to sit on the Board of Directors of the GMO Toxin Free USA Foundation and I’ve accepted. I have spent the better part of the last 30 years watching how our multinational farming and food system has been corrupted and co-opted by chemical companies. I watched silently while the incidence of gut related disorders steadily increased in the United States after the first gmo corn chip went to market. I watched how all of our favorite brands jumped on board. In the ensuing decades, chronic illness has risen in the United States along with obesity which now sits at about 40% of the adult population. These are not good statistics. I will have more to say in the ensuing days, but just know that my primary mission will be to stop the partisan bickering. And to bring actionable changes. To that end, I’ve already started.

My commitment to the prevention of tick borne disease remains steadfast because the simple truth is that whether you have a Lyme infection or some other chronic condition brought on by metabolic disorder, you will never heal properly without clean food and clean personal use products.

The Board and staff of GMO/Toxin Free USA would like to announce and welcome the newest member of our Board of Directors: Dr. Susan Eisen.

Dr. Eisen is a Functional Alternative Medicine chiropractic physician, who practices root cause medicine with an emphasis on natural pain management and lifestyle improvement for optimal health outcomes. She specializes in natural protocols for chronic illness. Dr. Eisen has been practicing in New York City since 1993 and is the first female chiropractor to receive reciprocal privileges to practice in the state, at a time when that honor was reserved only for chiropractors who had the finest records of practices.

She has a long history of activism in the wellness space and has been following the broken food system in America since 1996 when the first GMO corn chips were released to the market. After being bitten by a tick in 2008, Dr. Eisen became active in the Lyme disease space which ultimately led to the formulation and development of an organic mosquito and tick repellent called Tick Tock Naturals® that aligns with her belief in clean food and personal use products.

In December of 2020, Dr. Eisen was selected to participate in The Department of Health and Human Services LymeX Initiative to find a cure/solution for Lyme Disease. To date, she is the only chiropractor involved with this important health initiative designed to change and improve Lyme and Tick-Borne Illness policy at the federal level.

Every day I read about people suffering or succumbing to preventable, infectious tick-borne diseases. The reality is that the majority of Americans do not use insect repellent or if they take protective measures, they do so erratically. A simple walk down the grocery aisle shows that all of the repellents are dusty. I believe this is because people are afraid of the synthetic chemicals  DEET and permethrin. We’re told that picaridin and permethrin are not toxic and that we can apply it multiple times a day, yet when in a different form such as a lice shampoo, we are told not to use it more than once. I have checked labels and the dilution of permethrin is identical. Doing nothing risky. Ticks are everywhere and they remain active throughout the entire year. Another dreadful condition caused by the bite of a tick. Alpha gal syndrome can be fatal. A man in NJ has already succumbed to alpha gal. And on top of this, close to 75% of people in America, do not use an insect repellent. I understand why — it’s because most synthetic repellents like DEET and permethrin can be harmful to toxic and potentially carcinogenic. The Center For Lyme Action and LymeX Accelerator are looking for a safe alternative as part of their appropriations ask of Congress. The reality is that there is already one. It’s called Tick Tock Naturals. So what is it gonna take for people to start protecting themselves?

Good morning everyone! Happy Fire Horse energy and may it hasten our collective efforts. The fight to prevent tick borne disease and for our clean food/air/water will always be important to me. I am posting an important petition here from the GMO Toxin Free USA foundation. I am on the Board of Directors. I can tell you that the executive director lives in Connecticut and so she understands the fight for Lyme+ disease fundamentally. Please sign this petition and share it widely. As a wellness doctor who has suffered with a severe case of neurological Lyme post tick bite, I can tell you firsthand that eating clean has helped overcome all of my symptoms. And while my best efforts with long-term doxycycline, were close but not 100% effective, I have remained in complete remission, except for one short period of time when I suffered a concussion late in 2024 into 2025.
