Can you forgive me?
Instead of wishing trite "Happy New Year" greetings, let's really tap into something deeper.
As we enter the Jewish New Year, I'm reflecting on how much of our lives focus on "taking."
β Taking a moment.
β Taking a break.
β Taking a breath.
β Taking a turn.
What if we flipped the script? What if we remembered that life is really for giving?
π€² Give an extra moment.
π€² Give someone a break.
π€² Give some breathing room.
π€² Give someone a chance.
It doesn't cost a penny. But it can change everything.
We come into the world with our fists shut tight. We leave the world with our hands wide open. And when we leave the world, we don't take "stuff" with us. In the end, what we really "have" is what we "gave."
Let's take less and give more.
And realize, life is for giving.
This time of year is about remembering to for-give.
Forgive others. Forgive yourself.
And then we can forget the wrongs - and remember to live life the right way.
π€ So as we step into this new year:
What will you give? Who will you give to? Who will you forgive?
