Many of us look to our relationships as a source of happiness. As a result, we put unrealistic expectations on our connections that leave us feeling needy, discontented and powerless.

Fortunately, we can replace these minds of craving and attachment with the confident, powerful attitude of love.

People can’t make us happy, but our love for them can!

In this special Love Panel event, our center’s love “experts”—long-time meditators from different walks of life—will field questions and offer insights on this important topic.

Learn to release tension, live lightly, and relax! Taking yourself less seriously is a gift. You can shush your inner critic, laugh at the ridiculous notions that bog you down and ultimately transcend ordinary egocentric, selfish minds.

In this silent retreat we will meditate on the “holy secret” of exchanging self with others. This ancient, beloved set of teachings on developing loving-kindness frees our mind of heaviness and intensity—especially in regard to clinging to our own beliefs, views and feelings—moves us into an empowered, fearless state.

This will take place over 4, 1 hour sessions. You are welcome to attend any session! 🙂

Everyone is welcome!

IMPORTANT US FESTIVAL REGISTRATION INFO!
Registration for the In-Person Festival opens Thursday, January 22 at 2:00pm EST.

Registration for the live-stream Festival will open closer to the event — keep your eyes open for announcements!

✨ Early Bird Discount
Book by March 24 at 11:59pm EDT to receive the discount.

A New Registration System
If you’ve booked a Kadampa Festival before, this system will look quite different — but don’t worry, it’s designed to be clear, smooth, and easy to navigate.

A few helpful things to know:
• The first page you’ll see is the Accommodations Options page. The price shown includes all teachings, accommodations, and all meals for the full event, so you can immediately see the total cost of attending.

Not staying for the whole festival? No problem— you’ll be able to adjust your options later.

• Because onsite accommodations are so limited, most are only available for the full five nights. If you’re coming for just a few days, you won’t be able to book these, but you can choose camping, which has no minimum stay.

• Staying offsite? Simply select Day Visitor at the bottom of the screen.

• The next screen lets you choose your other Festival options like festival dates, meals, and transportation options. Just follow the instructions as you go— the process should be smooth and straightforward.

If you selected a twin or double room earlier, make sure to have your roommate’s name ready – you’ll need to add it on this screen.

Saturday Workshop!⚡️

As we develop a good heart, we naturally wish to help others. But it’s not easy! Everyone is different, and sometimes our help just makes things worse. We may also project our own issues and insecurities onto others, which doesn’t help anyone.

When we learn to develop wise compassion, however, we will bring a sense of humility and curiosity to each relationship. We can respond with creativity and flexibility. This deep, empathetic care allows us to meet others where they are at rather than imposing our own moral standards and judgments.

In this course, we will learn how to cultivate this compassionate wisdom and learn specific techniques that support good decisions when it comes to benefitting those in our lives and our world.

Everyone is welcome!

“When painful feelings arise in our mind, there is no need to panic; we can patiently accept them, experience them, and investigate their nature and where they come from.

When we do this, we will discover that painful feelings do not come to us from outside but arise from within our own mind.”

How to Solve Our Human Problems
