Lots of fun and learning at the Sept. 25 AMN (Avalanche, Mountain Travel Rescue, Nordic skiing) event held at Shawnee Mtn, PA. Also, it was a great opportunity to promote SAFETY and PATROLLER STRESS AWARENESS to the NSP Eastern Division Nordic Patrollers.

National Safety Week has now become National Safety Month! Now the month of January will be dedicated to an entire month of safety. Many Resorts across the country participate every year to educate skiers and snowboarders about being safe, and to use common sense on the slopes.

While we may not yet understand the consequences of plastic particles in our bodies, I can't imagine it's a good thing!

The study estimates that adults consume and inhale at least 98,000 of the tiny pieces of plastic yearly. It makes plain that scientists have found microplastic almost everywhere, and they're calling for more investigation into what this could mean.
