Meet Nurse Tim… (& Elmo 👀)— favorite school nurse📝😃

Having Timothy Glennon on our team is truly a gift. As a school nurse, Tim radiates joy, calm, and caring every single day. At 72, he’s not just young at heart—he’s young in complete action and spirit!

And then there’s Elmo. Yes—that Elmo red, furry & fun.
Tim’s playful sidekick who helps turn on smiles and makes students feel safe and at ease. It’s no surprise his students absolutely adore “Nurse Tim.”

Tim’s journey into nursing began during a defining moment in American history. In 1972, during the final year of the Vietnam War draft lottery, his birthday was drawn seventh. At the time, Tim was commuting to Stuyvesant High School and working in the mailroom on Wall Street. When he saw his number in the New York Post, he knew immediately—he would be drafted.

Within days, Tim reported to the recruitment center and boarded the first plane of his life, serving stateside with the U.S. Air Force in Massachusetts. Though assigned to an administrative role, the experience shaped his life profoundly—one he reflects ultimately saved his life.
