Had an amazing time at the Redhawk Native American Council Raritan Pow Wow. The energy was powerful-alive with spirit, connection, and deep harmony with nature.Drums echoed like heartbeats of the Earth. The circle was sacred, the dancers moved like prayers in motion. 🌞✨ This morning, while getting ready for my son’s 5th grade graduation, thinking about how far he has come, grown, the lessons he’s learned and what he has ahead of him after the summer, I stopped and caught my reflection in the mirror while putting on my make up. I caught not just my face, but something deeper. I looked into my own eyes and really *saw* myself. Not just who I’ve become, but who I’m becoming. Life moves so quickly, yet these little moments invite us to pause, breathe, and remember what we truly want. I need to shape not only my life, but to influence the life of those I love, and I have the power to do so.

Maybe it was the deep insightful podcast episode I recorded for the Uzlaga Saga yesterday, the deep reading I did for the community group last week, spirits talking to me, the solstice coming up, maybe it was all these things, or something else. But this moment made me look deeper, and I felt the need to take a pic and capture it.

As we approach the Summer Solstice this Friday-Saturday, the longest day of the year, there’s a sacred energy in the air.

In shamanic and animistic traditions, the solstice is a time when the Sun, the Great Fire Spirit, stands still in the sky, showering us with light and power for the longest moment all year. It’s a potent moment to align with nature, to honor the fire within us, and to activate our intentions. Fire doesn’t just burn, it transforms.

Use this solstice energy to fuel your vision, not just for yourself, but for those you truly love and care about. Write your goals. Speak them aloud to the sunrise. Light a candle. Dance. Burn away old fears. Let your inner fire guide the way.

Your reflection holds wisdom. Your spirit within you knows the path. The light is here to remind you: You are becoming, you are transforming, and you have the power to dream into being the life you want to align yourself into.

Hello All! Andrea here... For this month's Journaling workshop on June 27th via Zoom at 8pm, we will broaden our journaling practice, working with Runes......

Runes are the Nordic ancient alphabet system, which means mystery or secret! These symbols were used to spell out words of power. Each symbol had a name that had significant magical powers. The symbols were carved into weapons and amulets. Centuries later it was said to be claimed by the Vikings and spread world wide used as a divination tool.

Runes can be displayed either via stones, written on paper, messages illustrated on cards, & much more unique, creative ways. I personally love to tap into Rune guidance sometimes more than working with oracle cards because I love the direct, no second-guessing messaging it offers.

To help us journal with our Rune messages, I'm honored to have my very good friend & colleague from the Sacred Temple Wellness Facebook group, Patti Conover, co-host with me. I'm doing some Kintu prayers today and reflecting on a recent gift I received. The other day, I was fortunate enough to find some vulture feathers, and I expressed my gratitude for this sacred offering. I plan to honor this gift by crafting a smudging fan for use during underworld and upperworld journeys with my clients. The powerful medicine of the vulture will help many on their path. Vulture medicine teaches us to clear away the old and what no longer serves us.

Vultures have the unique ability to consume what others cannot, turning toxic things into nourishment. This reminds us that there is value in even the most difficult or unwanted experiences. With their high-flying presence close to the heavens, vultures encourage us to adopt a broader perspective and ensure that all the pieces of our lives are aligned with our highest good.

Given the intensity of eclipse season and the astrological influence of Neptune in Aries, I'm embracing this connection with vulture medicine to help bring my life into alignment with its highest purpose. I'll stay patient, soar with clarity, and take the opportunities to move forward when they present themselves.
