We know all too well the stories and stats behind the pollution we live with. We're inviting you back to continue our ongoing conversations—and actions—around reclaiming our narrative and building solutions. This month, we’re partnering with Children’s Health Fund to host a Community Health Equity Engagement Roundtable (CHEERs).

Local students from MHS 223 will present their research on pollution in our neighborhoods.�📊 We’ll also debut an early version of our air quality dashboard—built to reflect real conditions in the South Bronx—and ask for your feedback to make it more useful to our community.

It may feel like summer is already here, but trust—it's still spring! Join us for the HEArts Center Spring Festival as we continue to spotlight the holistic practices and programming that will be offered at the soon-to-be HEArts Center. 🌷❤️

This day of wellness and joy will begin with a spiritual cleansing and blessing led by healer and ritual performer Zayda Rivera, followed by a powerful demo of the Healing Dome experience—led by the artist behind it, Dr. Drum (José Ortiz), and powered by rhythm and spirit! Karla Mayenbeer Cruz, author and activist, will present a live reading of her children’s book The Adventures of Pepita Morales at City Hall—a powerful story about collective action and community pride.

And don’t miss a special performance by award-winning poet, musician, and Bronx native Bonafide Rojas, whose work celebrates identity, heritage, and resistance. You can catch him only wearing red socks.🎨🪘🎺

See you TOMORROW!! Happy Earth Day 🌎💚♻️

We are excited to partner with you - our beloved community - and several partner organizations to show our local park and planet love.

Please wear comfortable clothes (pants recommended instead of shorts) and durable closed-toed shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. We’ll have all the cleanup equipment necessary for this fun activity, including gloves. Plan to arrive by 1:50 PM, so we can start the cleanup at 2 PM sharp!

We’ll have delicious Mexican tamales (meat and vegetarian options from a local food vendor) to serve during our break + some cool new South Bronx Unite hats!

Special thanks to our partner organizations, such as (who’ll be giving away free kitchen composting bins, (who will have a skateboarding activity for the kids), Qi Zone Wellness, who is providing people tomorrow with ear beds to ease stress levels and uplift our health, and , a longtime advocate and educational resource in our borough on all things zero waste and sustainable waste management.
