NYC Affirmative Psychotherapy

NYC Affirmative Psychotherapy Sliding scale psychotherapy practice in NYC providing treatment to individuals 18+ in NY and NJ. We’re here to help you feel better and make change.

We are a mental health practice with locations near Penn Station and Union Square in Manhattan. Our mission is simple: provide affirmative psychotherapy in a sustainable way to the community. By affirmative we mean that we do not view individuals from the perspective of being defective or needing to be fixed. We instead recognize the innate strengths that continue to allow people to function while enduring difficult life circumstances. Challenging childhoods and distressing adult experiences, coupled with the toxic impact of systemic oppression, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and xenophobia impact our mental health. We firmly believe that change is possible and that we as human beings grow in relationships where an empathic and attuned other bears witness to our struggles. You are not alone. Email or call us and lets take the next step together.

Our Story

NYC AFFIRMATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY LCSW PLLC is a community focused sustainable sliding scale mental health practice in Manhattan providing treatment to individual adults ages 18+.

Challenging childhoods and distressing adult experiences, coupled with the toxic impact of systemic oppression, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and xenophobia impact our mental health. Our goal is to fill a gap in mental health services provided to those that are historically marginalized and disenfranchised; we are especially committed to serving q***r communities of color. We also strive to be culturally aware and trauma-informed. And, most importantly, we’re here to help you feel better and make change.

We firmly believe that change is possible and that we as human beings grow in relationships where an empathic and attuned other bears witness to our struggles. You are not alone. Lets take the next step together.
