Male Blepharoplasty Surgery (eyelid lift) has been getting a lot of attention in the media. Some high profile men are starting to look less masculine after their surgery. Most likely there was aggressive fat and maybe muscle removal exposing the top of the eyelid platform which is typically a feminine trait. It is really important to look at a surgeon’s before and after pictures to make sure that expectations align before proceeding with surgery.

This beautiful woman had upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition 2 1/2 years ago. She still continues to be extremely happy with her natural results. She does not look pulled or done. Just her, but refined.

This is a follow up of a man in his 80s who underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition of the lower lids. He is very active and vibrant he wanted his insides and his outsides to match.

His six month follow up shows a very natural result which looks like he went on vacation. He does not look “done” or pulled or hollow. There is still a little tiny bit of swelling which will continue to resolve as time goes on. There is a lighting difference because the patient sent me a selfie and this was not taken in the office.

Many of you are probably wondering what an upper blepharoplasty incision looks like when it’s healed. This patient had surgery six weeks ago and the incision on her upper eyelid is barely detectable. She is an excellent healer and results can between patients.

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom. She has always been there for my sister, my dad and me in good times and and bad. I know that she has my back and I have hers.

Sending hugs to those who have lost their moms or who cannot celebrate with their moms today.

This is a beautiful 38 year-old woman who complained of bags under the eyes which bothered her. She felt like everyone thought she was tired. She underwent a fat transposition blepharoplasty of the lower eyelids. She returned for follow up at two months and is extremely happy. Her parents think that she no longer looks tired.

This lovely woman in her early 50’s felt like the height of her eyelids got lower over time. This made her look tired and it affected the way that she felt about herself. This is called ptosis when the lifting muscle of the eyelids stretch out over time.

I performed ptosis surgery on both eyes to restore her bright, refreshed look. Since the left eyelid was drooping more than the right, I did a little more lifting on the left side and customized my approach to achieve more symmetry. I performed this procedure through the underside of the eyelid, which meant no visible skin incisions.

One added benefit of this surgery is that it can subtly enhance upper eyelid volume. By repositioning the muscles, the underlying fat can project forward slightly, softening any hollowness in the upper eyelids.

The result?

Her natural sparkle was restored. ✨ The light reflex—where light bounces off the cornea (the clear dome in the front of the eye)—returned, giving her eyes a vibrant, awake, and youthful appearance.
