Lament, Complaint, and Plea — O Ali, O Ali Help | Dr M. Mehdi Kazmi | ACNA

_______________________________
O Ali!
For fourteen centuries I have begun my mornings by taking your name, and with the support of that name I face this world and the struggles of life.
O Ali! You yourself had said that I could say everything to you, because I belong to your family.
You had promised me: keep taking the name of my Husayn, continue following the example of my Zaynab, hold their gatherings, continue their mourning, and keep their remembrance alive — and you will remain protected.
After Karbala no tyrant will be able to touch you.
No oppressor will imprison you.
In your generations no Sakina will again be left orphaned, and no Ali Asghar will again become the target of spears.
The sacrifices that we had to give, we have already given.
The blood that we had to shed, we have already shed.
You had said that we should simply keep the banner of Husayn raised, and no Yazidi would dare to stand before us.
But O Ali!
To whom shall I appeal?
Where shall I go?
The intensity of pain, grief, and sorrow has brought the heart to such a point that only one question remains: why are we still alive?
The swords of these Yazidis and the blows of these hypocrites that are still raining down today — make us their targets as well.
Perhaps if we die, this pain, this sorrow, and this anguish will finally lessen.
Under the weight of this suffering, the desire to remain alive has almost disappeared.
O Ali!
The oppression that is being inflicted upon our Persian brothers, sisters, and children cannot be seen or heard without unbearable pain.
These are your people.
They take your name.
They are the servants of your household.
For fourteen centuries they have served you in devotion.
You yourself had said that we are in your service, and in service the master who is you — cares for his servants and attendants.
O Ali!
Have mercy on them.
O Ali, bring this oppression to an end.
For your name and the name of your family we beat our chests in mourning, we perform the rituals of grief, and we keep alive the remembrance of your suffering.
Today it is my right to plead before you for mercy.
O Ali!
Either end this oppression or take us away from this world.
Perhaps now our place is only at the feet of Husayn — where he stands as guardian. Take us there as well.
For we can no longer endure this hell.
Sometimes Gaza, sometimes Iran, sometimes Pakistan — everywhere the fire of oppression is burning.
O Ali!
Help me.
This grief can no longer be endured.
Either take us away from here or silence these tyrants.
O Ali!
On the Day of Judgment take my hand and bring me before the one from Madinah.
And with my head lowered I will say only this:
O Messenger of Allah ﷺ!
For fourteen centuries I have continued to invoke the name of your Ali.
I have kept the banner of your grandson Husayn raised.
I have shed tears in grief for your daughter Zaynab —
and yet we have lived to see this day.

O Ali!
O Ali!
O Ali!
On the Day of Resurrection grant me permission to stand before my Prophet ﷺ.
Grant me the courage to raise my finger and complain before him —
about those hypocrites,
those deceitful ones,
those dishonorable and ignoble tribal hypocrites who still surround my people today.
O Ali!
These are the same hypocrites who never accepted the truth.
These are the same people who at every turn in history tried to suppress what was right.
These are the same people who, after the Messenger of God ﷺ, refused to recognize your rightful position and who filled their hearts with hostility toward the Ahl al-Bayt.
O Ali!

Let me say on that day:
O Messenger of Allah ﷺ!
These are the same people who killed Husayn.
These are the same people who oppressed your household.
And their descendants still remain on this earth, keeping oppression alive.
O Allah, curse the killers of Husayn and his companions.
These are the very people —
and even today there are those who follow in their footsteps.
So may curse be upon them,
and may curse remain upon them forever.

Auliya Council of North America refuses to hide behind the empty rituals of condemnation. We condemn not only the violence inflicted upon our people, but the moral cowardice, the collapse of responsibility, and the frightening numbness shown by those in authority those entrusted with power and duty, yet failing catastrophically to protect faith, life, and community.
We also condemn the growing societal permissiveness toward violence that has seeped into our collective conscience. This is not normal. This is not inevitable. This is not acceptable. A society that learns to live with brutality has already begun to decay from within. Wake up. Defend your people. Protect your brethren. Safeguard your faith.
Silence in the face of injustice is not neutrality it is complicity. Indifference toward the sanctity of human life is not mere weakness it is a betrayal of conscience. When cruelty is tolerated and suffering becomes routine, faith is not harmed by its teachings, but by the failure of those who claim to uphold it.
We must not surrender to the very evils the Prophet ﷺ came to uproot: injustice, the devaluation of human life, and moral paralysis disguised as prudence. His message was never one of passive piety or selective concern. It was a message of justice anchored in compassion, and faith proven through action and responsibility.
This is a moment that demands moral clarity, not selective outrage; ethical resolve, not convenient silence. Defending human life is not a political stance—it is a religious obligation. Protecting one another is not a lofty ideal it is the very essence of faith lived honestly.
The time for lamentation without action is over. Those with authority must act. Those with voices must speak. Those with conscience must refuse to remain silent.
