Francis Cecil Sumner (1895–1954): Known as the "Father of Black Psychology," he was the first African American to receive a Ph.D. in psychology (1920) and he established the psychology department at Howard University to train Black psychologists.

Isabelle Bachrach, Ph.D., is a Clinical Psychology fellow who earned her doctoral degree at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus.

Her clinical focus is on treating individuals with interpersonal trauma, including histories of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse or neglect, familial enmeshment, and complex attachment difficulties.

Isabelle also works with couples, including those in non-monogamous relationships. She is particularly passionate about working with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
