Congratulations to the new residency building, The Austin, in Forest Hills, NY! RYBAK Development enlisted my company, Feng Shui Manhattan, to work along side their interior designers to help finalize the selection of materials, colors and other subtle design details in accordance to the principles of Feng Shui that best aligned with the energies of the building.

In celebration of The Austin's opening, they blessed the building through a Lion Dance Ceremony to help bring in happiness, good health, good fortune, prosperity and joy while at the same time removing unwanted energies. Attendees had the opportunity to write out positive intentions, place them inside a red envelope and feed them to the lion. By doing this its said to help further bless the residents who will be living at The Austin, alongside everyone involved in helping to bring this building to life and future stewardship.

Today was a truly special day as the next generation of Certified Feng Shui Consultants graduated from The Feng Shui Manhattan School 9-Month Professional Certification Program!! They worked very hard and to launch them into their next chapter of evolution, each student presented individual case studies which really demonstrated their knowledge of the practice. Each case study was uniquely different and provided a fantastic range of how Feng Shui could be supportive to people at different stages in their life.

Congratulations Haile, Mary, Ariel, Jodie and Morgan!! I know you'll offer amazing contributions to the overall community, and have already begun to do so :)

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of providing a Feng Shui walking tour of the Viana Hotel and Spa in Westbury for ladies from The Transition Network. The Viana Hotel and Spa was the last major project my mother, Carole Provenzale and I worked on before her passing in 2010. During the walking tour the TNN ladies learned about how the principles of Feng Shui were integrated into every developmental stage of the Viana Hotel and Spa. We discussed the history of the land, explored the various stages of refining the architectural design, floor plan layout, interior design specs, and the importance of Feng Shui ground breaking and grand opening ceremonies for the Viana Hotel.

To conclude the walking tour I highlighted well known landmark buildings located in New York City that have fused the principles of Feng Shui into their architecture. Each attendee took home a packet of Feng Shui tips they could adopt into their lifestyles and home. Ultimately, everyone walked away with a new perspective on how to see the world around them through their "Feng Shui eyes".

Sunken Meadow Drum and Dance Circle

Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 at 4PM

Drummers and Dancers are meeting at Sunken Meadow State Park, field 3 (parking lot 3) by the concession stand on the far east end of the boardwalk. Please bring your own drum and chair. They will most likely be a handful of extra drums and smaller percussion instruments to share. All are welcome!

The drum circle is free but there is a parking fee to enter Sunken Meadow State Park.

Not long ago I had the privilege of facilitating a Rhythm of Unity drum circle for The Society for the Prevention of Teen Su***de Inc. (SPTS) at their 2025 wellness summit which took place at Molloy College. This event brought together around 300 students along with their supervisors and teachers. I for sure needed additional support and called upon fellow facilitator, Michael Rodgers. Together, we all co-created a safe space of acknowledgment, music-making that fused rhythm, self-expression, playfulness, and community. The energy in the room was so uplifting and powerful! It was a truly meaningful experience and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of these students.

Some African tribes drum every night before going to bed to enter a trance to get rid of the day's burden and disposing into the earth, reminding themselves that life goes on, playing them is choosing to stay alive. Drumming has given me an outlet to express my emotions in a community setting and thus became important for me to include it as part of the exhibit and as a way to open up the space.”

Feng Shui Manhattan (formerly known as " Feng Shui Long Island") emerged from a spiritual pilgrimage to Sedona, Arizona in 1996. Carole Provenzale, my mother and founder of Feng Shui Long Island traveled to Sedona with my brother, Adam and I. This trip marked our introduction to the concept of Feng Shui as well as the power of positive thinking and understanding the connection between the body, mind and spirit.

Fast forwarding to today, certified full-time Feng Shui Expert Laura Cerrano is the CEO and founder of Feng Shui Manhattan (established in 1997). She provides bi-costal remote and on-site healing consultations, seminars, workshops and classes in New York, California, New Jersey and Connecticut. In addition, Laura is a resident teacher at the Metropolitan Institute of Design in Syosset, NY. Her primary focus is a unique blend of wholistic healing for your living and working environments, unconscious mind, body and spirit. Laura specializes in blending multi-dimensional healing modalities with advanced Ba-gua Map Readings, Bön Buddhist Tradition, Shamanism, Mystery School and Emotional Intelligence.
