Today, we reflect on the extraordinary journey of the Magi to adore the newborn King. Just as they offered their treasures, we are inspired today to recommit ourselves to offering our own gifts of compassion, healing, and presence to those we serve.

What a joyful and meaningful evening at this year’s Spirit of the Season celebration at Citi Field.

Friends, families, supporters, and care members came together for a night filled with music, laughter, and generosity—all in support of ArchCare’s Huntington’s Disease residents. From the sing-along and 12 Days of Christmas pageant to the auctions, raffles, and shared moments of connection, the spirit of the season was truly felt throughout the night.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Mary P. Clarke Service Award to Doris Igbe. Doris has worked at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center for 15 years and is deeply admired by her colleagues and loved by the residents she serves. Her dedication and compassionate care reflect the very heart of ArchCare’s mission.

For more than 35 years, Spirit of the Season has supported the Mary and Jim White Center for the Care of People with Huntington’s Disease at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center and our growing HD community at ArchCare at Ferncliff. Thanks to this continued support, ArchCare is proud to serve more than 100 HD residents across two facilities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this evening so special. Together, you help create a home filled with care, dignity, and community.

As we enter the fourth week of Advent, we’re invited to notice the quiet ways God is present in our lives and in the world around us. 🕯️✨
This season calls us to slow down, reflect, and recognize the moments of gratitude, kindness, and connection that reveal God’s loving presence. All things—big and small—can point us back to the One who created them.

May this final week of Advent deepen our awareness of hope and prepare our hearts for the joy to come.

We recently celebrated the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Eden II Comfort Corner Gift Shop at Eger Healthcare! ✂️🎉

The Comfort Corner at Eger Healthcare is a meaningful new service that offers Eden II participants the opportunity to create and sell handmade items to residents, fostering creativity, connection, and purpose. The partnership also includes a strolling comfort cart, bringing small moments of comfort throughout the Eger Healthcare community.

Eden II Programs, a not-for-profit organization serving more than 500 participants across New York City and Long Island, supports individuals with autism through service, science, and passion—helping them achieve their full potential throughout their lives.

Congratulations to Eden II and the Eger Healthcare community on this wonderful new program and partnership. We’re grateful to celebrate this milestone together.

A magical holiday outing for the children and young adults of ArchCare at Mother Cabrini Hospital! ✨💫

Our care members enjoyed an unforgettable trip to see the Rockettes—complete with festive music, bright lights, and plenty of smiles. For many, it was a moment of wonder and joy during this special time of year.

ArchCare at Mother Cabrini Hospital is a true home for children and young adults with complex medical needs—a place where they are supported, celebrated, and encouraged to reach their highest potential. Outings like this one remind us how meaningful shared experiences can be for our care members and their families.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable, and to the Good Newsroom for capturing these photos! ❤️
