’m asking for community help 📣📣📣‼️‼️‼️

I’m being priced out of my space again. I was asked on Monday that I leave by next month because of a rent increased. I’m on a month to month but have been a resident at my current apartment for 3 years. I legally have 90 days but honestly, I’m too emotionally exhausted to fight her.

I’m looking to move into a 1 bedroom (stabilized) again. But because everything is inflated in NYC, moving right now means everything has a broker fee. I’m working as much as I can physically handle. If you have leads that fit, DM ME!

But it hasn’t even been a week since my dog was euthanized. I just don’t wanna fight my landlord bc I’m tired and I just want to grieve. But I have to now re-direct all my energy into finding a home.

I’m a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist who prioritizes my qtbipoc community in their practice. I offer lowered fixed rates. I’m able to do this bc I have my office in my home. It is so incredibly important I can continue to provide accessible care and I can be paid for my 10 years of experience and knowledge. 👊🏽✨🙏🏽🔥🌻🌞

UPDATE: the vet said chase will need his LEFT EYE REMOVED. He literally has a large cut in his eye that is just bleeding. They gave us ointment, pain meds, and antibiotics. Ultimately, this will get rid of his pain immediately. This one procedure is $1000 minimum so if you can throw down anything to my venmo that would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Folks, for those of you who have gotten sessions with me, you know Mr. Chase 🐶🐶 I’ve had him for over 10 years and he’s my demon angel. He is currently having big eye issues and overall health issues/ decline. He needs another round of diagnostic testing and it is gonna cost around $1,000-1300 and I currently dropped a lot for today. But I am asking for my community for help. I wanna fundraise so he can be treated asap. I’m currently waiting in the Vet’s office

Anything you can throw towards my Venmo would be so helpful. If you can also share with your networks. I’m trying really hard not be worried, but I am. I am already dropping $360 for his immediate eye issues. But he needs multiple blood panels, ultrasound, a low dose Cushing’s test, and an echocardiogram! I’m trying to not freak out

✨🪴💗 It’s been a heavy year so far for so many folks. We have many people and systems that uphold white supremacy. We have systems that also up hold transphobia and homophobia. Many marginalized communities, specifically black and brown folks, who are continuously targeted in these systems. Now it is more important than ever to invest and build in community. Using your privileges to move things in a system that continues oppression against those who are the center of those margins. I’m just taking stock of the things I am grateful for. My chosen family has been supporting me and affirming me. Having clients truly value and believe in the work and knowledge I provide for body maintenance liberation. Regaining autonomy in which marginalized communities are often dismissed for engaging with. I’m also proud of myself as a person who actively is working towards unpacking their own personal trauma and stopping that cycle. It also brings me endless joy for my clients who leave their sessions feeling stronger, grounded, and empowered by their body. This serves as a reminder to give yourself a break, resting is healing, and support your communities! ***r

Hey folks, I’ve had major shifts in my availability and can now take on more clients. It’s a pretty exciting time since I have learned many new techniques that help provide all of my clients relief. Even throughout COVID I still love what I do. I’m meant to do Massage Therapy and being able to provide my knowledge and skill is one of the things I cherish most about how I move on this field. I have been licensed and practicing for over 10 years. Which it’s truly a gift to have a career in a field that I love and cherish. Hello, to all my wonderful clients and potential clients. I’ve been flying low on the radar these days but wanted to check in on a more personal level. Things have been pretty good but I have had many unexpected expenses as well as still dealing with long covid. It’s also been challenging with the increase of all supply chains being inflated. The stability as a Licensed Massage Therapist has been really turbulent these past 2.5 years of the pandemic. However, I still love what I do. I find joy and excitement in being someone who can give my knowledge to my clients so they can focus on healing and recovery. Often many folks will leave with the tools and language that will help facilitate mental and physical healing and communication. Even though the state of the world is chaotic: providing knowledge to everyone, but specifically my QTBIPOC community, is vital to restoring personal autonomy for folks who are systemically told what their body should be. My priority has and will always be making sure my knowledge & skills are accessible, continually inclusive, and comprehensive 💕🌄🌿🌳🌻 ***rmassagetherapist ***r

Hey Everyone, it’s KG checking in. So just upfront, I tested positive for a covid a second time. It’s been a lot and I have not been working for 10 days. I still have more time on the recovery path bc it really hit me heavy with fatigue, gi issues, confusion, brain fog, and disorientation. I’m also physically weak and can’t sustain much weight. Covid really is no joke. My recovery is still on going but I am hopeful. I am so grateful for my loved ones and amazing community and clients for offering help and checking in on me. Thank you to everyone who sent me messages, well wishes, funds, food, & prepaid for their sessions while I had covid. I’M BACK, YA’’LL! 💜✨🙏🏽 It was a really hard start to the year and recovery was more intense than I was anticipating. Just grateful for all of you, my wonderful community! But finally taking clients. I have some changes and will be making some posts after. I think we all have noticed the cost of living has dramatically increased since the pandemic. Unfortunately, many of my costs for my business have gone up by 30%. I’m not able to sustain my sliding scale: but I will still keep a fixed lowered rate for qtbipoc folks. It’s been really important for me to prioritize my community of qtbipoc folks, so this is something that will allow me to still prioritize accessibility to my peers and make sure I can survive in these trying times. ***rmassagetherapist ***r

Not related to Massage but just really into Halloween and that we did an Avatar the Last Airbender & The Legend of Korra theme. Be safe and have a good time! We’ve had a really intense and heavy 2 years and it felt really great to be able to play and dress up. Self care is surrounding yourself around folks who make you feel good but also hype you up.
