Last week, our local elected officials held a conference at the Open Door Senior Center to discuss the impact of recent federal government cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) on Chinatown households. At Hamilton-Madison House we know the importance of accessible mental health and community, so our CONNECT program is starting a Chinese language support group, providing a safe space for community members to learn about mental health cognition and healthy coping skills while receiving necessary support from our staff and fellow attendees.

The support group will meet every Wednesday morning for 45-50 mins over the course of 12 weeks starting on September 24th. If you are interested, fill out the form found through the link below. The deadline to join is September 12th at 5 pm.

Just last month, we held a Moving Up ceremony for our 4 year olds that will begin Kindergarten in the Fall. We are so excited to see what the future holds and continue to support families and their young ones through their education journey!

Last Saturday we hosted our 2nd Annual Ping-Pong-a-thon at 50 Madison St! We had a blast eating snacks, shopping at the LIFT flea market, and watching the youth and older adults go toe-to-toe for the 1st place trophy.

We'd like to congratulate this year's winners: Audrey Kim, Alexander Xu, Peter He, and Shui-Fong Chong. Thank you to all that participated in the tournament and everyone who showed up to support!

With our 2nd Annual Ping-Pong-a-Thon just a few days away, we wanted to give you yet another reason to come and support! We created exclusive merchandise that can be purchased for pick up during the event this Saturday July 26th from 12 to 4 pm at 50 Madison Street.

All funds go towards giving students from our LIFT Youth program the opportunity to go on a college tour and visit the schools they are interested in. Your donation will help them make the decision that could shape their future!
