This patient came to us with saline implants from years prior, and concerns about asymmetry. Her left breast had what we call a waterfall deformity, which is when the breast tissue shifts down over the implant and gives a sagging appearance. We performed a breast lift and exchanged the saline implants with high profile silicone implants, restoring symmetry and shape.

Implant warranties typically expire after 10 years, so it’s a good idea to have them checked for any issues before that happens. If device failure is detected, you may be able to get new implants covered by the manufacturer.

During a traditional tummy tuck, an incision is made around the belly button so that it can be repositioned to the proper place on the abdomen after skin is pulled tight and excess is excised. The telltale sign of a tummy tuck is usually the belly button scar. Whenever possible, we use the neoumbilicus procedure to create a brand new, natural-looking belly button with strategic incisions and suturing, eliminating the obvious circular scarring issue.
