Aquarius Full Super Blue Moon 8/19/24
This Full Moon in Aquarius is a really big one in more ways than one. It's a Super Moon, meaning that it's very close to the Earth and has a stronger effect on us, and it also features a super potent Fixed Grand Cross. And let's not forget that it's also a Blue Moon, meaning it's the 5th Moon of a season.
Grand Crosses are few and far between, especially ones like this that have more then 2 planets in the same degree. The Sun is in 27 Leo exactly conjunct Vesta in 27 Leo and they are opposite the Moon in 27 Aquarius with Uranus in 27 Ta**us squaring the Sun - Moon opposition. The 4th arm of the Grand Cross is Pallas in 24 Scorpio.
I know that all you astrology students are thinking "Omg, he's using Asteroids! He never uses Asteroids!". And that's true, but when I saw that T-Square with everything in 27 degrees I just had a hunch that there was probably an Asteroid opposite Uranus.....and BINGO! There was not only Pallas completing the Fixed Grand Cross but also Vesta exactly conjunct the Leo Sun and Ceres in 7 Capricorn forming an exact T Square with the 7 degree Aries - Libra Lunar Nodes.
The reason I don't normally use asteroids is because in IMHO they only have about 20% of the power that the Sun, Moon, planets and Chiron have, and I like to keep it simple and stay in the basics. But in this case they definitely add value and nuance because of their role in the the Grand Fixed Square.
This chart is just oozing Goddess Shakti! The 27's are multiples of 9 which is the Divine Mother number (7 + 2 = 9) and Pallas, Vesta and Ceres are Goddesses. Pallas Athena is the Wise Warrior Goddess, Vesta is the Goddess of the Sacred Flame of the Hearth and Ceres is the Goddess of Agriculture and The Harvest. Vesta's energy was embodied (invested?) in the Vestal Virgins who took a vow of chastity for 30 years.
We also have Mars in 17 Gemini conjunct Jupiter in 19 Gemini acting as the handle of a tight T-Square with Venus in 19 Virgo opposite Saturn in 17 Pisces.
This is truly a "once in a blue moon" chart (to put it mildly)! There is so much to unpack here! How can I explain it in plain English to all you non - astrologers?
There is so much being processed now as hundreds of years of suppressed collective and personal trauma comes up to be loved back into the light.
This Super Blue Full Moon in Aquarius weaves many threads together into a transformational tapestry which demands an unprecedented level of whistle blowing and truth telling in order for a critical mass of humanity to fearlessly confront the forces and factions which obsessively cling to old paradigm dark, devious and deceptive practices, the blood lust addictions to the excitement of violence and the domination and control of the masses through fear mongering, propaganda and persecution.
The retrograde of Mercury feels like a minor footnote to the massive power of the Fixed Grand Cross and the two T-Squares. But in addition to Mercury, we now have Pluto, Neptune, Chiron, and Saturn in retrograde motion, and it all adds up to a major reset in progress which affects every aspect of life.
Great courage and leadership is called for now but not the old competitive, overly aggressive masculine kind. The healed masculine is now being balanced and complemented by the benevolent nurturing feminine. We need to have that sacred fusion within us in order to heal ourselves and heal trauma based divisiveness in the world.
We need to simplify and slow down in order to stay on the high side of what's transpiring now. That means lots of gentle self care, prayer, meditation and healthy nourishment, sunlight and fresh air as often as possible, quality time and fun with friends and family.
Don't get caught up in divisive angry agendas, wish everyone well, pray for all beings everywhere that they may have peace, safety, happiness and all their needs met. Find that well that never runs dry, that gift that keeps on giving and "the peace that passeth understanding" within you and share it freely.
