James Kim, OD, FAAO is the owner and chief optometrist of Optoid. He provides medically oriented comprehensive and contact lens eye exams on site and offers weekend emergency eye care for most conditions. A graduate of Duke University and SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Kim is a New York State licensed optometrist who has extensive experience diagnosing and treating eye disease in a glaucoma specialist's clinic balanced with experience in opticals providing eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions. He sees patients from age 3 and up and provides comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams, diabetic eye exams, eye disease treatment, amblyopia ("lazy eye") treatment etc. because he is recognized, as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), to practice to the fullest extent of his license. Starting out 2022 by offering contact lens recycling and eyewear recycling. Just drop off your old contact lens cases and used lenses and blister packs, broken glasses, goggles, etc. And once the containers are full, we ship it back to to recycle. Just another way to show our office is committed to helping do our part for the environment.
