Calling ALL New York State residents!!

The Licensed Creative Arts Therapists (LCAT) Medicaid bill is on the governor's desk as of yesterday morning -- she has until Dec 24th to sign or veto it.

Please reach out to the governor and ask that she sign this critical piece of legislation that will enable LCATs to be reimbursed for Medicaid.

At this time while LCATs provide very valuable services, we are unable to support some of the most vulnerable populations as we do not have the ability to be reimbursed.

Many are working very hard on this -- but at this moment it is unclear on whether the governor will sign.

WE NEED EVERYONE'S HELP TO GET THIS BILL OVER THE FINISH LINE.

Please take 5 minutes & call the governor's office -- ask everyone you know who lives/works in NY to call too!

Step 1 - call 518-474-8390 (office hrs are 9am-5pm)

Step 2 - when you reach a person, say this:

Hello, my name is ____ and I am a: (choose 1-2) Licensed Creative Arts Therapist / licensed professional (MD, LCSW, NP, etc) / 1199 member (or other union) / concerned constituent, calling from __(city/county)__. I am calling to ask Governor Hochul to improve access to much-needed behavioral health care in NY by signing A9018 into law. Thank you.”

Step 3 - forward this email to at least 20 people who live in NY -- they do NOT need to be LCATs to call.

I know making calls is no one's favorite, but we can ALL do hard things!
GO GO GO!

DM me or email the lcatadvocacy@gmail.com with any questions.

THANK YOU!
