Sometimes it looks like growth, boundaries, and choosing yourself while staying connected to others.✨

In this moment, let’s practice self-love and self-validation. Today, let’s honor yourself. You are enough in this moment.🩵

Our children are growing up in a world that moves fast, measures everything, and rarely gives them space to breathe. The landscape is powerful, and once we understand why they’re struggling, we can start figuring out how to support them. 🧠

At Metro NY DBT Center, our clinicians are here to help families navigate these challenges with clarity and compassion. 💙

February can feel heavy, especially as winter starts to drag on. ❄️

With just a few weeks left, this is a time to focus on steady, compassionate steps that support your mood and energy. Progress doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful. 💙

Focused on adolescent development, this panel brings together leading voices to explore the realities teens are navigating today.

Nicholas Urban of Metro NY DBT Center joined Dr. Danielle Dick, PhD, Director of the Rutgers Addiction Research Center and Shilpa Kulkarni of Shiv’s Third Eye for a thoughtful discussion on modern risk factors including substance use, digital exposure, impulsivity, and peer dynamics.

The conversation highlights prevention, harm reduction, and the critical role caregivers and educators play in supporting teen well-being and safety. 💙

We understand that real change happens when you feel seen, understood, and supported. Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches like DBT and CBT to help you navigate emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges with practical skills and compassion. You don’t have to figure it out alone. 🩵

⚠️ When someone you care about is struggling, it’s natural to want to jump in and fix things. But rushing into problem-solving can sometimes send the message that their feelings shouldn’t be there.

Validating emotions first is important. Make sure you listen, acknowledge, and let them feel their emotions. 🙌

When parents and caregivers actively participate in therapy with their child, outcomes improve. Kids feel supported, understood, and less alone. And caregivers gain tools to respond with clarity instead of fear, frustration, or guesswork. ✨

When a child knows, “Someone is in my corner,” everything shifts. Your engagement isn’t just helpful, it’s part of the treatment. 🩵
