We’re just sprouting with pride this morning! Yesterday, we celebrated 39 advocates as they became NYS Department of Health Certified R**e Crisis Counselors! Over the last year and a half, this fine crew provided support to 196 survivors in emergency departments across the city. We’re so thankful for your care and kind hearts and all that you do for survivors. Show some love to the training class of 2024 in the comments below! 🎉

CVTC stands in solidarity with Dolores Huerta and with all the courageous survivors who find the strength to come forward and speak their truth. As she powerfully shared:

“I have never identified myself as a victim,” she said. “But I now understand that I am a survivor — of violence, of sexual abuse, of domineering men who saw me, and other women, as property, or things to control.”

We believe survivors. We support their voices. And we honor the resilience it takes to speak out.
