The ‘3 Questions in 60 Seconds’ series continues!

Director of Youth Development Farhan sat down with Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado for a quick dive into the future of New York. As the first Latino to hold statewide office in NY and a former U.S. Congressman, Delgado shared his perspective on youth leadership as he prepares for his 2026 run for Governor.

We’re excited to bring these conversations to you, giving young New Yorkers direct access to the leaders shaping our state. Whether it’s in the halls of Albany or on the ground in our neighborhoods, our goal is to keep the youth informed on the people and policies that matter most.

Bag Your Rights Ft. YG 12/19/25

A huge shoutout to everyone who attended our Bag Your Rights workshop collaboration with Young Governors. We extend our gratitude to every high schooler who made the commute from school in the rainy and cold weather to educate themselves on how to utilize their rights. Our student coordinators and organizers did a fantastic job planning for the event.

Congratulations to Luz, Kazi, and Nadira for winning the blackout bingo. Following them, Luz, Martin, Dashel, and Iktidar won the Jeopardy. We hope you enjoyed the prizes and the tote bags. For those who participated with great enthusiasm, we hope it is an event you will not forget anytime soon.

November 4th Election Day Victory

President of FBW, Eng. Abdus Sobhan, and Director of Youth Development, Farhan Rahman, organized an eventful watch party for the mayoral race in Shanai, Jackson Heights. Representing the “Bangladeshis for Zohran” and “South Asians for Zohran” committees, the event culminated months of outreach and canvassing in a definitive victory.

We are immensely thankful for the dedication these community leaders showed in helping to elect a mayor who will represent all of us in City Hall. We also extend huge thanks to all the media outlets and journalists that captured the energy and excitement when we heard that was now the first-ever Muslim socialist mayor elected to the wealthiest and most diverse city in the world!
