Such a nice note from one of our post-op patients: “Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to express how grateful I am to you for giving me my life back. I was beginning to lose hope—until the day I walked into your office and met you, Kaelyn, and Jennifer. When you told me you believed you could help me, I had never heard more amazing words. Although I am still healing and know I have a long way to go, I already feel so much bette and I know I’ll continue to improve. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and from my family as well, for all that you do.”

Our patient and colleague, a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation expert, presented with incapacitating leg pain and numbness that had gotten so severe that he became unable to work. He underwent neurologic decompression and circumferential fusion. At less than a year out, he is back to caring for his patients and skiing with his family!

Our first case of the year is in the books: Minimally-Invasive Microdiscectomy! Huge L4-5 extruded lumbar disc herniation resulting in right-sided pain, numbness, and weakness. Our patient could barely stand or walk and was admitted for emergent surgical decompression. Look at the size of that fragment!
