Only a few sunrises I’ve captured because I stay present with them outside of this phone. Sharing a few moments I’ve had in the past 9 days of feet to earth. These hikes ground me. Literally lol! I wouldn’t be able to live in a big city without….I am not a city girl! 🫶☀️🌅 What keeps you grounded in the places you live?

Anytime Macro Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups al medina dates (pitted)
~1 cup saffron infused milk
2 cups GF oat flour (grind GF oats into chunky flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp oil coconut
2 tbsp lions mane
1/2 cup DF chocolate chips (for cake and as topping)
Maple syrup, peanut butter & water (for topping drizzle) + peanut butter granola
*Additional milk as needed*
Instructions:
1. Soak dates in saffron milk for 20 minutes. Make sure dates are covered and use all this milk to use as paste later.
2. Blend soaked dates and milk into a smooth paste.
3. In a bowl, mix oat flour, baking powder, baking soda, lions mane and chocolate chips.
4. Add date mixture, peanut butter and coco oil.
5. Mix well - add a little milk if batter is too thick.
6. Pour into a lined baking pan.
7. Top with granola and chocolate chips.
8. Bake at 350°F for ~45 minutes until fully cooked.
9. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
10. Drizzle with a maple syrup mixture before serving.

This is a really good bfast idea for a before workout meal. Very carb heavy! Also great for energy and mental focus (chocolate and lions mane). In the future I am going to add protein powder to this and see how it goes but for now it’s a great before workout meal!

Calories: ~280
Carbs: ~46g
Protein: ~4.5g
Fat: ~9g

My Saturday in Mama Nature. Now that summer is coming - I’ll be busy most all weekends doing just this. This place has been magical with tapping into my Native roots, healing so many things and living an outdoor type lifestyle I’ve been doing since childhood. It’s been nice meeting a partner that loves nature even more than I, maybe. 🤔…common debate in our household. I love exploring with you P. 💪🏽🥰 We also hiked 10 miles too…felt amazing. 🤩 Where our explorer types at!?

This is my before workout food. Paired with some matcha! If you’re counting macros - I hope the video can help and inspire. I’m on day 30 of 75-hard! Love it so far and excited for more growth both physically and mentally.

Macros below:
Protein - 33g
Fat - 35g
Carbs - 53g
Cals - 661

You might ask why do this? Because…. I am going into another phase of my life: age, hormones, stresses, coming through chronic illness…it’s time to see how to support my body while I age gracefully and with supporting my physical, mental and spiritual body.

Working out doesn’t have to look pretty. It can be messy. Let it be messy. It’s power non the less. This post is for the women who get after it no-matter-what. Who don’t “need” to “get ready” for the gym. Who roll out of bed and move their body. Who prioritize their mental health and physical health above all. Who crave growth. Who keep learning.
