Caregivers of veterans spend > 1.5x more on out-of-pocket costs than other caregivers. On Veterans Day, let’s honor our servicemen & women AND those who care for them by helping them find the support they need.

An AARP report found:
🏥 Family caregivers of veterans spend $11,500 of their personal income on out-of-pocket costs related to caregiving each year.

💵 43% of caregivers experienced at least one financial setback such as having to take on more debt or dip into personal savings.

🧑🏼‍⚕️ The VA offers support to caregivers of veterans enrolled in VA healthcare, but only 34% of veterans have used their VA earned benefits.
