We have some big news for the South Bronx… A 266-unit, 100% affordable and supportive housing development is coming to Morrisania! 🏠✨

ICL, alongside Gilbane Development and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), has announced financing for Renova at 860 Concourse Village East. A defining feature of this project will be the new ICL Bronx Health Hub, bringing integrated physical health, behavioral health, and supportive services together under one roof.

This whole-health model is designed to strengthen housing stability and advance health equity across the South Bronx, all while creating a place where people can truly thrive. 💛

We wrapped up the season with so many memorable moments across our community!

From holiday cheer at the East New York Health HUB, to Santa spreading joy at Nevins Street Apartments with gifts donated by Leadership and Public Service High School, to celebrations with our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) community as they welcomed the New Year, and ending the season with Winterfest for our incredible staff.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this holiday season so special. ❤️

This holiday season, we were honored to share a magical day with families we serve on a field trip to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, followed by a delicious lunch at Junior's Restaurant & Cheesecake. ✨

For many parents and children, moments like these become lasting memories. Seeing their smiles reminded us what the season is all about! ❄️

A heartfelt thank you to David and Kristin Woodlock, our board members, and all the friends and supporters who made this celebration possible. 💙💙

Welcome to City Hall, Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani! We’re looking forward to working closely with the new administration to do better for our neighbors in 2026 and beyond.

Our four decades of supporting people with the most serious histories of trauma and behavioral health challenges have taught us about what it takes for people to get better. They get better with us because we design and deliver programs that work.

Swipe for four recommendations that we believe can drive New York forward. ✨

Because of our supporters, housing changed lives this year.

In this end-of-year message, ICL President & CEO Jody Rudin reflects on what your support made possible and the future you’re helping build.

This year, with the help of your generosity:

🏠 More than 2,500 New Yorkers had a permanent place to call home every night
💛 81% of people in our programs reported an improved quality of life

Donate today to help more young people like Jarrar find stability, care, and a safe place to heal. 🔑🏠

Jarrar was just 18 when she came to ICL’s Linden House after a mental health crisis. With 24/7 support and therapy, she regained her footing, graduated high school, enrolled at BMCC, and is now preparing to move into ICL’s Enhanced Young Adult Supportive Housing program.

Thanks to the help of our gracious supporters, this year ICL served 1,000+ children and young adults, helped 94% of youth in treatment apartments maintain stable housing, and moved 57 young adults from shelters into homes.

Spend a day in ICL’s Health Connect 🏠✨ A first-of-its-kind program bringing integrated, whole-health support directly to people living in scattered-site permanent supportive housing.

By embedding a trauma-informed care team within supportive housing, Health Connect provides clinical support, care coordination, and comprehensive whole-health services directly to residents. The results are fewer avoidable hospital visits, stronger housing stability, and more people able to live independently. 💛

In a new Capitol Pressroom radio interview, ICL President & CEO Jody Rudin explains how medical respite helps patients who are medically ready to leave the hospital but have nowhere safe to recover, providing short-term residential care with 24/7 clinical and case-management support.

She also discusses findings from ICL’s new report with Comunilife, Inc. and Health + Hospitals on how this model reduces unnecessary inpatient stays, prevents avoidable readmissions, and improves outcomes as Medicaid cuts loom.

🎧 Listen to the full conversation here:

Medical respite care is being pushed as a cheaper alternative than prolonged hospital stays for New Yorkers without stable housing.

We believe everyone deserves a home they would be proud to live in. That belief has come to life at The Atlantic, our newest residence in Cypress Hills. 💛

Carmen and her teenage son were among the first to move in after more than a year in the shelter system. “We’ve never lived in something brand new,” Carmen shared. “Knowing my son has a place to come home to, that we can rebuild our confidence, is everything. To get back a home… it’s such a blessing.”

With 183 beautiful apartments, amenities like a gym, lounge, and rooftop terrace, plus on-site support services, The Atlantic is helping families move from shelter into safe, dignified homes. 🔑🏠

Among the many ways we deliver care, our Intensive Mobile Treatment teams reach those most in need by bringing medical care, meals, and support directly into the community to help people heal and thrive.
