Lately, I’ve been starting sessions with a quick body scan, helping clients notice how they feel and bring awareness into their bodies.
Many of my clients, including New Yorkers, new moms, pregnant mothers, and those on the fertility journey, share one thing: their nervous systems are often stuck in “on/survival” mode.
A nervous system reset is a gentle, respectful way to help the body shift out of survival mode, including fight, flight, freeze, or fawn, and back toward safety, connection, and regulation.
It doesn’t force anything. It honors that:
🌿 Stress lives in the body
🌿 The nervous system is designed to respond to stress to keep us safe
🌿 Healing moves at the pace of safety
It’s not about “fixing” anyone. It’s about guiding clients to notice their breath, the space they are in, and helping the body recognize that the present moment is safe.
Even a few minutes can create real calm. 🌿
