ASAPS 2026 Boston

Special appreciation to .dr.pu and for inviting me to this weekend’s annual Aesthetic Plastic Surgery meeting in Boston. Honored to be among the other talented doctors from around the world to be included in the Asian Cosmetic Symposium to speak about the topic on Periorbital Rejuvenation, which I think the beautification principles are applicable to all races.

It’s always a great moment to see friends, co-residents, colleagues, previous mentors and meet new friends and learn new techniques to benefit our patients continuously!

Special congratulations to my friend Dr David Lee for his new beautiful clinic in Boston and a big surprise reunion with Dr Soto from our Colombia medical mission trip nearly 13 years ago!

Of course always happy to see my plastic surgery colleagues from Taiwan! Fun times! We def had some delicious Chinese style Lobster in the Boston Chinatown!

This beautiful lady, has a slender body and tall stature like a runway model, with also beautiful facial features. She, however, always desires to have a fuller breast, especially the upper pole so she can look better in clothing and also can be bra-less when she wants to.

She also doesn’t want to be overly large. After discussion with 3D simulation, she chose to undergo transaxillary endoscopic breast augmentation with 245cc Motive ergonomix implants, hiding surgery scar in her armpit and leaving no trace of surgery on her breasts.

The result is natural, has beautiful aesthetic lines and also fitting to her slender silhouette. Though she had a slightly concave-in sternum/chest wall prior to surgery, the improvement is still immense and beautiful. We are all thrilled about her transformation!

這位金髮美女，擁有如伸展台模特兒般纖細高挑的身材，五官也十分精緻。然而，她一直渴望擁有更豐滿的胸型，特別是針對上胸的飽滿度，好讓她在穿衣時曲線更動人，甚至能在想自在時不穿內衣也能維持美感。

7 months after 3000 grafts of FUE hair transplant

This handsome gentleman is only 39 years old but already suffered many years of hair loss with frontal balding. This photos show merely 7 months after FUE hair transplant using the back of his scalp as the donor side.

We can see his hairline is already back to normal and his hair grafts will continue to grow and results will be even better after a few months. The final results from hair transplant usually don’t come until one to one and half years!

Ethnic augmentation rhinoplasty before vs. after

This patient wanted to improve her nasal bridge height and rotate her tip upward slightly to improve the overall aesthetics and facial proportion. By augmenting the height of the nose, which is frequently deficient in Asian noses, we also allow the entire face to look more three dimensional and improve on the flatness feel often associated with lower nasal bridge.

A conservative alar reduction was also performed at the same time to add more elegance to her nasal proportions.

這名患者希望提升鼻樑高度，並將鼻頭微幅上旋，以改善整體美感與面部比例。透過增加亞洲人鼻部普遍較缺乏的高度，我們能讓整體臉型顯得更為立體，並改善因鼻樑扁平而導致的臉部視覺平板感。

Arm liposuction and breast augmentation

This beautiful lady recently had breast augmentation using the transaxillary endoscopic approach hiding incision in the armpit plus upper arm liposuction at the same time.

The size she picked was in the 300s cc using silicone implants and about 1000 cc of fat were aspirated from her arms.

We can see her beautiful transformation: breasts have more volume, she looks great in clothing; and arms now have much slimmer contours and lines, no longer that top heavy appearance. All changes are also natural in every way.

We are all extremely happy for her transformation!

這位美麗的女士，最近接受了經腋下切口內視鏡隆乳手術（將切口隱藏於腋下皺褶內），並同步進行了上臂抽脂。

在假體選擇上，她挑選了 300 多 cc 的矽膠填充物；而手臂部分，我們則抽吸了約 1000 cc 的脂肪。

Otoplasty for prominent ear

This lovely 27 year old lady who is one year after otoplasty correction for her left prominent ear. This has been her biggest insecurity for many years since childhood. It might be hard for people who don’t have the same issue to understand but we see this quite often in our clinic.

Our patients before surgery often wanted to hide the forward bending ear by wearing their hair down or try to wear head bands to cover them.

This patient only had one prominent ear on the left, which makes her asymmetry and prominence even easier to spot by comparison.

As you can see, after a simple surgery under local anesthesia, we were able to correct her left prominent ear and restore symmetry to her face. She was so happy at her follow ups and wished she had done it earlier!

招風耳矯正手術（Otoplasty）

這位 27 歲的年輕女士，剛完成左側招風耳矯正手術滿一年。自孩提時代起，這對耳朵一直是她最大的心結。或許沒有相同困擾的人很難感同身受，但在我們的診所中，這類案例其實相當常見。

在接受手術前，許多患者通常會刻意放下長髮，或是利用頭帶遮蓋向前傾的耳朵，以掩飾其形狀。

由於這位患者僅有左耳屬於招風耳，在左右對比之下，不對稱的情況與耳朵的突顯程度反而更加明顯。

如您所見，透過一項簡單的局部麻醉手術，我們成功矯正了她的左側招風耳，並恢復了面部的對稱美。她在回診時感到非常開心，甚至遺憾自己沒有早點動手術！

Where it all began!

Had a chance to visit Baltimore and my medical school this weekend. Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is where it all began! Can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since I graduated from medical school.

Always appreciative of the education, opportunities and mentorship I received during my time here.

The medical school and hospital campus look so different now, many new buildings erected and more being built. The only thing that is the same is the original Johns Hopkins Hospital established in 1889.

Go Bluejay!

夢想啟航的地方！

這週末有機會回到巴爾的摩並造訪我的醫學院。**約翰·霍普金斯醫學院（Johns Hopkins School of Medicine）**正是這一切的起點！真不敢相信從醫學院畢業至今已快 20 年了。

對於在這裡所受到的教育、擁有的機會，以及恩師們的指導，我始終心懷感激。

現在的醫學院和醫院校區看起來截然不同，許多新大樓拔地而起，還有更多正在興建中。唯一不變的是那座始建於 1889 年的約翰·霍普金斯醫院原址。

Eyebag surgery or lower blephroplasty is one of the most common aesthetic surgeries in our clinic. It can be done for both men and woman. It helps to remove the excess fat that is protruding in the lower eyelid area and restore a more youthful and energetic appearance. It can be done under either local or general anesthesia, typical surgery time is only about one to two hours. In my experience, it is probably the most commonly done aesthetic surgery for men.

Take a look at the transformation of both patients one month after eyebag surgery. They are of different race, age, and s*x, but they have the same rejuvenated appearance afterwards!

眼袋手術（或稱下眼瞼整形術）是我們診所最常見的美容手術之一。這項手術男女皆宜，能有效移除下眼瞼區域凸出的多餘脂肪，恢復更年輕、更有神采的外貌。手術可在局部麻醉或全身麻醉下進行，通常只需一到兩個小時即可完成。根據我的經驗，這可能是男性最常進行的美容手術。
