This morning’s SkillSpring Community Breakfast was a powerful reminder of what partnership makes possible.
Thank you to our elected officials, Board members, partners, and especially our participants and mentors who shared their inspiring stories.
We’re deeply grateful to Senator Cordell Cleare for her leadership and unwavering support for our program; City Council Member Gale Brewer; Ruth Messinger, Board member of the Interfaith Center of New York; and staff from Speaker Julie Menin’s and Assembly Member Micah Lasher’s Offices.
With support from partners including The NYC Department of Youth and Community Development’s Train & Earn and CRED programs, Mayor’s Office of Talent and Workforce Development, ArchCare, MJHS Health System, Lehman College, Marie Curie High School, NYCETC, GNYHA, LeadingAge New York, East Side House Settlement, and Kingsborough Community College, we’ve grown from 27 participants in 2022 to 220 in 2026—training new CNAs and expanding opportunity in underserved communities.
With NYC projected to need 11,000 CNAs in the coming years, our work has never been more urgent.
Together, we’re strengthening the healthcare workforce and ensuring dignified care for older adults. Thank you all for being part of it.
