In light of the horrific war in Ukraine and other Humanitarian crises around the world, PPSC (Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center) mobilized to form the PPSC Refugee Support Project. PPSC RSP is a group of volunteers throughout the mental health and lay community who provide crisis and support services to refugees, their families, service workers. Volunteers at PPSC’s Refugee Support Project fall into several categories, including but not limited to:

Thank you to everyone who has supported the PPSC Refugee Support Project. Your time, energy, and donations truly make a difference.

As the war in Ukraine continues and refugee needs in NYC grow, our work has only become more urgent. In Ukraine, our On the Move therapists continue offering pro-bono online support groups for families of children with special needs and providing psychological support in active war zones.

In NYC, we’ve expanded services to refugees from across the globe, offering free mental health care, a special-needs assistance fund, and food delivery for clients who cannot access pantries. New partnerships, including one in Spain, are helping us serve Spanish-speaking clients more quickly, keeping our wait times far shorter than most organizations.

Only a few spots remaining! Please join me for a fun afternoon of playing with clay and finding community this Sunday, 11/3!

This is the second series of a monthly beginner-friendly workshop and support group for Ukrainian refugees. This will be the last group of the year before resuming in January so don’t miss out on a chance to make some gifts for the holiday season!

Hello everyone!!

Please join us and Alexander Beznes, LCSW, for the second series of his pottery workshop and support group for Ukrainian refugees on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

This a beginner-friendly workshop to learn how to work with clay and find community. Class and materials are free of charge. Happening every last Sunday of the month. Please contact Alexander Beznes at the number provided in the flyer to reserve your spot.
