As the top cardiology team in New York, we understand that each patient’s journey is unique. Dr. Michael Ghalchi is triple board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology, and is the founder of Manhattan Cardiovascular Associates. He graduated suma cm laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine, where he remains on the faculty. He is active in medical research and product development – he has published articles in peer reviewed journals including The Journal of Invasive Cardiology and Echocardiography, and is currently developing an innovative data-driven diagnostic and treatment algorithm to prevent strokes in at-risk patients. Dr. Ghalchi is also a highly regarded educator – he teaches courses to medical students at the NYU School of Medicine, supervises residents and fellows at the NYU Langone Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital, and has been a facilitator at the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute. He also serves as a judge and mentor to high school students through his involvement with the New York City Science and Engineering Fair. Pursuing his interest in cardiovascular disease prevention, Dr. Ghalchi holds advisory positions on multiple local and national organizations. He serves on the advisory board of Off the Scale, a population health management platform charged with reducing the incidence of preventable disease, is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is on the medical advisory committee of the American Heart Association. Dr. Ghalchi has been recognized for his thoughtful, thorough, modern approach to patient care and, among other accolades, has been named a “SuperDoctor™” and one of “America’s Top Cardiologists™”. He and his practice are devoted to providing the most current, high quality, personalized care in a comfortable, efficient, and attentive environment.

Using the latest advances in diagnostic technology and remote patient monitoring, our Non-Invasive Cardiology Service provides diagnosis and treatment, with an emphasis on lifestyle changes, to help patients move from baseline to optimal health.

Responsibilities - Medical

Care for motivated patients

Implement data-driven clinical protocols

Interpret diagnostic test results, including electrocardiograms, exercise stress tests, echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, mobile telemetry, sleep studies, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, remote patient data


Responsibilities - Training & Education

Create educational and marketing content

Create content for contribution to our library and journal club

Participate in video creation and production

Responsibilities - Collaboration

Supervise exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, and health psychologists to create integrated programs

Responsibilities - Management

Opportunity for management role in various capacities - Assistant Medical Director, Assistant Director of Education, Assistant Director of Research

Qualifications (basic)

American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease Board Certification

NY State Medical License

Experience with interpretation of diagnostic imaging, including echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, stress echocardiograms, mobile telemetry, and exercise stress tests

Qualifications (preferred)

Specialized certifications or interest in Lipidology, Preventive Cardiology, and/or Lifestyle Medicine

Bilingual (Spanish)
